Science In Braille ( SIB) is an initiative of the Royal Academy of Sciences International Trust. SIB aims to identify, address, and perform to-do actions to extol STEM entrance, progress, and retention on the scientific mainstream for blind and partially-sighted individuals and peoples with disabilities. SIB will identify paths for peoples with disabilities to lead and protagonize sustainable development. The Science in Braille Global Initiative aims to support the United Nations and its Member States in developing strategic, action, and implementation plans based on member state input to ensure the inclusion of the skills of people with disabilities as a critical component to generate scientific results and diplomatic actions to address global challenges. For instance, this lends itself to the direct inclusion of all performance styles and or disabilities in the mainstream scientific research and policies on scientific global themes impacting society.

Science In Braille addresses disabilities as a global unifying human identity by which people take action from within their context and circumstances, feeling in control of using their unique capabilities, to contribute and achieve things that monosensorially would be impossible. Multisensoriality permits an attentive focus on each individual and is the key to enhance scientific results by maximizing the ways each person has to perform at their own maximum. Moreover, it is a tool that may be used to redefine the monosensorial scientific economy, and proactively develop the framework of international cooperation that can serve as a basis for policies, treaties, and or protocols that focus on disability and multisensoriality as a global common ground. In this way, supporting governments to work together to generate better science using methods that symmetrically address the impermissible inequalities generated by mono-sensorial economy. Generating the wonderful outcome of an economy that inspires hope by leaving no one behind or out, especially focusing on people with disabilities… in other words, enabling everyone to shine at their fullest.

Science In Braille Seminars are free . This seminars intend to display how multisensorial perception is being used to generate science that makes a change in society. Likewise accentuating that all performance styles are needed to generate scientific achievements that will better the world!
